Inspired by the deep ocean volcanic habitat and African tribal culture, SongHai sets out to explore the possibility of the human race coexisting with a harsh environment. In this world, critical resources, such as metal, must be extracted from ocean floor habitats. The theme revolves around two tribes, each of which has adapted to their surrounding environment, resulting in visible changes in their body features.
The iron foot snail plays a vital role in the world of SongHai. In nature, this creature is covered with metal that it extracts from the mineral-rich smoke emanating from the deep ocean chimney. Both tribes have begun to develop different means of utilizing this amazing creature to their advantage.
